Who is Calamus Studios?
Calamus Studios is a buying service for high-end, designer furniture and decorating products normally only available to the public through an Interior Design professional. For clients who enjoy designing their own interiors, or for those working on a limited budget, hiring an Interior Designer is not always required. Calamus Studios helps their clients create these interiors - at an affordable price.
Calamus Studios brings the Interior Designer's resources directly to you - without up-front retainers and per-hour design fees.
The San Francisco Design Center (SFDC) and its interior design showrooms display thousands of home decorating products. A free 90 minute introductory tour of the SFDC is your opportunity to be personally escorted through the heart of San Francisco's interior design community. The showrooms represented at the SFDC are the same resources that professional Interior Designers use to create the beautiful interiors seen in famous design magazines like Architechtural Digest, Metropolitan Home, Sunset, and House & Garden.
On a personal level, your tour is an opportunity to meet with Calamus Studios' owner and principal designer Bill Geis. This meeting allows you to discuss your design project, style preferences, project requirements and budget constraints. Bill has studied interior design and decorating at UC Berkeley's Extension Interior Design/Interior Architecture program, as well as the London Institute of Art. He has worked with interior designers in the residential, commercial and hospitality fields, and uses this experience to blah blah blah .
What Products are Available through Calamus Studios?
Products available include all furniture, furnishings, artwork, fabrics, accessories, kitchen/bath and garden hardware, carpeting, lighting and window treatments sold "To the Trade Only", through the SFDC, the San Francisco Mart, and directly from manufacturers.
