Website Project Statement

I've talked with other design firms, and they don't require this - what is the Website Project Statement, and why do I have to fill this out first?
Each of our prospective clients are asked to fill out a Website Project Statement before we start work on their project. This short questionnaire helps establish the project's goals, key milestones and timeline, and provides a clear definition of roles and responsibilities to both the client and the designer.

By using this process, we are able to avert any possible misunderstandings or misconceptions about the project's main objectives.
